Application & Admission

The GSDE is aimed at prospective PhD researchers from all disciplines who wish to pursue their doctorate as part of a structured, interdisciplinary doctoral program in the field of digital education research. The following individuals are eligible to apply:

• Doctoral students from all faculties of the University of Bern as regular members.
• Doctoral students from other universities in Switzerland and abroad whose dissertation is supervised by a member of the PHBern or BFH as associate members. 

Before applying to the GSDE, interested parties need to find a supervisor at the University of Bern (or at PHBern or BFH in the case of visiting fellows). The GSDE office is happy to help interested parties to find supervisors. Please contact the coordinator, Dr. Tobias Schwörer, with your project ideas.
