The Graduate School Digitality and Education (GSDE) is a new interdisciplinary PhD program at the interface of technology and education. It is offered by the University of Bern, the Bern University of Teacher Education (PHBern) and the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH) in collaboration with BeLEARN. The focus lies on the impact of digitalization on knowledge transfer, particularly in areas such as artificial intelligence, digital learning tools and learning environments, as well as the resulting social and cultural changes in teaching and learning processes. The GSDE combines research and practice through a structured training program with various workshops and summer schools and is open to all PhD researchers who want to critically explore and actively shape the digital transformation in education.
